Research Status

Hi-tech Research and Development Program of China (National 863 Project), “SPR and fiber optical spectrum analysis in situ detection of the pollution in soil,” 12. 2006-10. 2010, Principle Investigator.

          The objective of the project is to setup the laser induced breakdown spectrum system and SPR sensor to detect the pollution in soil in situ, to study the means of fast in situ technologies of detection of pollution in soil.

National Science Funding, China, “Based on grating coupled Multichannel Fiber SPR Biosensor technology”, Jan. 2007-Dec. 2009, Principle Investigator.

          We exploit the scientific issues in SPR sensing that be applied on fiber sensor and can shift the resonance frequency for multichannel application.

National Science Funding, China, “Research on the modulation characteristics of novel 40Gb/s prechirped CS-RZ code”, Jan.2003-Dec.2005, Principle Investigator. 

          The project setup the scheme of the CS-RZ coder based on the phase delay via a fiber M-Z interferometer. The modulation characteristics of the CS-RZ code is studied in detail, so as to be used in novel 40Gb/s fiber optical communication system.

National Science Funding, China, “Research on novel ultra high speed optical pulse source”, Jan.1998-Dec.2000, Principle Investigator.

          The project setup a novel scheme of 20Gb/s optical transmitter based on 10Gb/s direct modulated laser.

Foundation for University Key Teacher by the Ministry of Education of China, China, “Dispersion management of the ultra high speed fiber optical communication system”, Jan.1999-Dec.2000, Principle Investigator. 

          The project studied the scheme of dispersion management of 10Gb/s or higher speed optical communication system that used comb like dispersion decreasing fiber.
