Research Status

Prof. Wang is internationally well-known for a large number of high-quality original granted patents and publications in high-impact journals. He hold 34 US/EU granted patents (23 of them as the first inventor and 9 of them as the second inventor). Several granted US/EU patents (US7221645B2, US7511663B2, EP1659813B1, US6917580B2 and etc.) have been accepted by a plurality of international standards like IEEE802.11n, DVB-T2, ECMA387 and etc. Besides that, he published more than 130 international journal papers (SCI indexed), many of them are in IEEE Journal of Selected Areas in Communications, IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, IEEE Transactions on Broadcasting, Optics Express, Journal of Lightwave Technology, IEEE Communications Magazine and IEEE Wireless Communications. He co-authored two books, one of them was selected by IEEE Series on Digital & Mobile Communication and published by Wiley-IEEE Press.
