丁晓青 Ding Xiaoqing

丁晓青教授1962年毕业于清华大学无线电电子学系,获优秀毕业生金质奖章。现为清华大学电子工程系教授、博士生导师，电子学会高级会员，中国通信学会会士员。主要研究方向为智能图文信息处理、模式识别、图像处理、文字识别、神经网络应用以及多媒体信息处理以及视频智能监测等。发表论文80140余篇，合作专著2本（其中一本由World Scientific Publishing Co.Pte. Ltd.出版）。她所提出的“模式识别统一熵理论”对模式识别系统的设计有重要的指导作用，受到国内外学者的重视。近年来在汉字识别领域，取得了一系列国际领先的研究成果，并成功地进行了产品化和产业化转化。较大进展，主持研制的多体印刷汉字识别系统、高性能汉英混排印刷文本识别系统、综合集成汉字识别系统、自动出版物制作系统等。先后荣获国家科技进步二等奖、国家科技进步三等奖、国家教委科技进步一等奖两次、教委和其他部委二等奖五次，95＇全国电子十大科技成果奖及863计划先进个人奖等。

Professor Xiaoqing Ding

Prof. Xiaoqing Ding was graduated from Dept. of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University, in 1962 and won the gold medal for the best graduating students in Tsinghua University. Now she is a professor and Ph.D supervisor in Dept. of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University. She is the Senior Member of Chinese Institute of Electronics and the fellowship of Chinese Communication Institute. She have published 140 papers and is the co-author of two books, one is published by World Scientific Publishing Co. Pte. Ltd. Her research interests include Image Processing, Pattern Recognition, Character Recognition, Document Analysis, Computer Vision, Multimedia information Processing and Video Surveillance etc. She has researched and developed a series of Chinese character recognition systems, which are in the tope level worldwide. Therefore, she has owned more Honors and Awards, such as Second and third class China National Scientific and Technical Progress Award, in 1999 and 1992, respectively, and First class Scientific & Technical progress Award by Chinese Ministry of Education in 1998 and 1990, Second class Scientific and Technical Progress Award by Chinese Ministry of Education or by Beijing City five times, Top 10 Electronics Achievements Award, by China Ministry of Electronic Industry, and also Award for Advanced Person of 863 Chines High Tech Plan.
