Research Status
National Natural Science Foundation of China (60850003). “Research on method and Security Mechanism of NC Based on Superspace-subspace Embedding”, Jan. 2009-Dec. 2010, Principle Investigator.
A decentralized NC system based on matrix decomposition called Phoenix is proposed for the sub-optimal routing problem; A decentralized and hierarchical NC system called Pharos is designed and implemented, to guarantee the compatibility with the existing Euclidean distance based NC system; A decentralized NC computational model which is robust to node churn is proposed for the node churn problem. A decentralized and stable NC system called Myth is designed and implemented by using this model. The applications include distance measurement in P2P Networks and other Overlay Networks.
National Natural Science Foundation of China(60473087). “Design and Experiment Research in Internet on Multicast Media Streaming System Base on Application-Layer” Jan. 2005-Dec. 2008, Principle Investigator.
In this project, application-layer multicast is proposed to implement scalable streaming services and the combination of Multiple description coding (MDC) and path diversity in Internet is utilized to improve the quality of streaming services. The key points about this project are the multi-rate control algorithm in application-lay. The applications include P2P Networks and other Overlay Networks.
