On December 8, 2018, the Teacher Training Class for University Electronic Information Core Courses of Tsinghua University (Phase I) opened at the Rohm Building, Tsinghua University, and a total of nearly 150 teacher representatives from over 60 colleges and universities across the country participated in it.

Ms. Huang Yidong, Chair of the Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University, and Lu Xianhe, Deputy Director of Tsinghua University Press, delivered speeches at the opening ceremony and announced the opening of the training class.

After the opening ceremony, Mr. Wu Ji, Deputy Chair of the Department of the Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University, made a report on the undergraduate teaching reform of electronic information disciplines. He pointed out that with the development of society and science and technology, higher electronic engineering education is facing greater challenges. The Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University has carried out a comprehensive teaching reform to improve the talent training quality. Mr. Wu Ji explained the theoretical basis of the curriculum reform, and vividly demonstrated the overall knowledge structure and innovative curriculum system of the electronic information discipline to the teachers.

The Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University is committed to combining the high-level academic research with the major needs of the country and the industry. In the training class, Mr. Wang Shengjin, Mr. Wang Yu, Mr. Zhou Shidong, et al. respectively introduced the development frontiers of AI, computing chips, communications and network technologies.

This training class will last for 4 days, and Mr. Li Guolin, Mr. Chen Jiansheng, Mr. Xu Shuzheng and other teachers will conduct detailed introduction and exchange and sharing on core courses of "Foundations of Electronic Circuits and Systems", "Data and Algorithms" and the construction of related experimental courses.
