On January 6, the Party Committee of the Department of Electronic Engineering organized faculty members and student party branch secretaries to go to Tongzhou for practice research activity. A total of over 20 people, including Party Committee Secretary and Deputy Secretary of the Department Jin Depeng and Li Dongmei, as well as teacher sand student party branch secretaries participated in the activity.

Everyone visited Tongzhou Planning Exhibition Hall, Municipal Supporting Service Center and Zhangjiawan Museum. The Planning Exhibition Hall shows the planning concept of the construction of Tongzhou that takes the core area of the canal as the leader, keep a foothold on high-end and internationalized modern international new city and the overall layout of "one core and five districts"; the modern facilities of the underground pipe gallery of the Municipal Supporting Service Center are refreshing; the Zhangjiawan Museum shows the historical features of the water transport wharf in the old days.

Through the visit, everybody was excited and full of expectation for the sub center of Beijing. At the same time, they had a deep understanding of General Secretary Xi Jinping's philosophy of governing the socialist country with Chinese characteristics in a new era, and the great significance of the strategic decision of Beijing to promote the scientific development of the capital around the goal of a world city with Chinese characteristics.
