(Correspondent: Shen Decai, Chen Long) From July 9 to July 10, 2019, the Red Practice Group of the Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University went to Xifeng, Zunyi, Guizhou to carry out the learning activity. Huang Yidong, Chair of the Department and member of the Party Committee, Hao Zhibiao and Deng Beixing, Deputy Chair and member of the Party Committee, Li Dongmei and Wang Yu, Deputy Party Committee Secretary, Feng Zhenghe, former Chair of the Department and other 19 teachers and students from various party branches of the Department of Electronic Engineering participated in the activity. The activity was themed by "remain true to our original aspiration and cherish the memory of our revolutionary martyrs".

On the afternoon of July 9, the Practice Group first visited the former site of the Zunyi Meeting. The site of the Zunyi Meeting was originally the private residence of Bai Huizhang, the division commander of the 2nd Division of the 25th Army of the Qian Army, where the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China held an enlarged meeting of the Political Bureau from January 15 to 17, 1935. The summary resolution on opposing the enemy's five "encirclement and suppression" campaigns was passed at the meeting, which was known as "Zunyi Meeting" to history. Many cultural relics in the Zunyi Meeting Room, the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Military Commission, the office and living room of Zhou Enlai, and the offices of Zhu De and Kang Keqing, are displayed in the site and attracted teachers and students to stop to watch and feel attentively. Later, the practice group walked to the Zunyi Meeting Memorial Hall to relive the great journey of the Red Army's Long March and understand the historical facts of the the Zunyi Meeting as the revolutionary turning point. The exhibition halls, meeting rooms, revolutionary cultural relics, historical materials, and historical photos in the Zunyi Meeting Memorial Hall reproduce the great journey of the Red Army's long march of 25000 Li richly and vividly, and reproduce the brilliant historical moment such as crossing Chishui River for four times by surprise and the Zunyi Meeting. The deeds and revolutionary spirit of the revolutionary martyrs daring to struggle, being indomitable and fearing no sacrifice are admired and impressive.

On July 10, 2019, the teachers and students from the Practice Group of the Department of Electronic Engineering drove to Xifeng County, Guiyang City to visit the former site of the Xifeng Concentration Camp. The Xifeng Concentration Camp is the largest and highest level secret prison in the prisons set up by the Bureau of Investigation and Statistics of the Nationalist Party during the period of Anti-Japanese War. General Yang Hucheng, a famous anti-Japanese general, and his family were also imprisoned in the Xifeng Concentration Camp for 8 years. Xiaoluobotou, Huang Xiansheng, Ma Yinchu and others were also imprisoned here. After visiting the former site of the concentration camp, the teachers and students from the Department of Electronic Engineering deeply realized the revolutionary spirit capable of evoking praises and tears of the revolutionary martyrs who still pledged their lives for the revolution without hesitation although they were brutally tortured and their lives weren't guaranteed day and night.

Offer flowers to heroes and pay homage to the loyal soul with grief.After the visit, the teachers and students sang the majesticNational Anthem of the People's Republic of Chinain unison in front of the memorial square of the concentration camp. Accompanied by the affectionateFlower Offering Music, the teachers and students of the Department of Electronic Engineering presented wreaths and flower baskets to the reliefs of revolutionary martyrs, and reviewed the party membership oath.
