On June 28, 2019, the Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University held a meeting to commemorate the 98th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and commend the advanced in the multifunctional hall on the 11th floor of the Rohm Building. The meeting was chaired by Wang Yu, Deputy Party Committee Secretary of the Department of Electronic Engineering. First, Huang Yidong, Chair of the Department of Electronic Engineering, announced the list of commended advanced party organizations (party branches), outstanding party members, outstanding party building and ideological workers, and outstanding and ideological and political workers (party branch secretaries). Ma Yuan, as an outstanding party member student representative, traced his learning career from elementary school to undergraduate school with the theme of "If a color is needed to represent me, it must be 'red'". He conducted a sharing from three aspects, namely making an example, serving classmates with actions, going to the mountainous areas and the countryside, measuring the earth with steps, solemn promise, serving the nation with the future and expressed the feelings of "being willing to makes contributions to the red of the new era".
Chen Wenhua, as the representative of outstanding party member teachers, said that as a teacher and scientific researcher, he knew very well that he must always maintain the fine style of working people and endeavor to create first-class work performance. "Remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind", insist on maintaining advanced consciousness and a strong sense of professionalism and responsibility, and hope to make unremitting efforts to discipline construction, school development, and progress of the state and society. In response to the call of President Xi Jinping to "write papers on the motherland", he was determined to closely integrate scientific research with national scientific and technological development and national economic construction.
Liu Shanyun, as the representative of outstanding party building and ideological and political workers, shared his work experience in party building work as the deputy leader of party building of the Postgraduate Working Group: Improve the quality of organizational life through focusing on the theme of the grass-roots party organization building and promotion year activity; The new electronic party building has enhanced the transparency and timeliness of party building information; Outstanding grassroots party building forces have been cultivated through the goose-leading plan. Wang Linjue, as the representative of the outstanding party branch secretaries, shared the branch ideas of the undergraduate grassroots party building work in the past three years. With no new party members, the branch was only a team of graduate students consisting of counselors at the early days of its establishment, but the party members of the branch always clearly recognize that the branch is positioned as the undergraduate party branch, so the main emphasis of the work of the branch is how to train and develop undergraduates, and unite more students to the party organization. Then Wang Linjue introduced the work experience of the branch from four levels, namely organization building, cultivation of party members, cultivation of activists and contact between the party and the masses.
With the theme of "innovating the party building work model and creating a special flag of the branch", Wang Zhongxiao, as the representative of the outstanding party branch secretaries, introduced the special work of the Wireless Graduate 175 Party Branch in three aspects of ideological guidance, interest oriented, and collective co-building. From focusing on political leading and academic research, to social practice, voluntary activities, innovation and entrepreneurship, the branch has enriched the organization and life style, and given full play to its role as fighting bastion.

He pointed out that at the key nodes of the 98th anniversary of the founding of the Party, the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, and the decisive period of building a moderately prosperous society in all aspects, the Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University should strive to build the world's top electronic engineering discipline. The key to facing challenges is to play the core and leading role of the party organization. Mr. Jin pointed out that we should strengthen learning and learn the spirit of self-targeted revolution proposed by General Secretary Xi, call on the party committee, party branch, and party members of the Department to launch benchmarking self-examination activities, implement summer social practice activities based on the actual situation, and respond to the theme education work with a high starting point.
