Mr. Zheng Junli, Professor of the Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University, doctoral tutor in Information and Communication Engineering, and member of the 8th and 9th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, died of illness in Beijing on April 14, 2019 at the age of 82.

Mr. Zheng Junli has been engaged in teaching and scientific research in the fields of communication, signal processing, circuits and systems for a long time. He has rigorous scholarship and sets an example in teachers' professional ethics. He has made important contributions to the construction and development of information and communication discipline and talent cultivation in the field of electronic information. His national key textbookSignals and Systemshas been widely used as a classic textbook for 40 years.

To pay deep tribute to Mr. Zheng Junli for his important contribution to China's higher education cause and promote his spirit of imparting knowledge and educating people and truth-seeking innovation, the "Memorial Service for Mr. Zheng Junli" is scheduled to be held on May 18, 2019.
