On the afternoon of January 10, 2019, the Department of Electronic Engineering conducted fire safety training and fire emergency evacuation drills. Li Lianghang, the monitor of the special duty team of 8 fire squadrons of Beijing Haidian Fire Detachment, gave a special training report for everyone, introducing fire safety knowledge, emergency escape methods in case of fire and precautions. Wang Yaping from the School's Security Department introduced recent fire insurance cases in Tsinghua campus and did training on the use of fire extinguishers. The training meeting was chaired by Deng Beixing, Deputy Chair of the Department, and more than 130 new faculty members and new postgraduate students in 2018 participated in the training.

After the training meeting, the fire emergency evacuation drill was conducted in Rohm Building. Under the command and guidance of the department office, the security personnel of the institute and the property, more than 450 teachers and students in the building successfully completed the safe evacuation task.

Finally, the actual fire extinguishing practice of fire extinguishers was arranged.

The fire prevention consciousness of the teachers and students of the Department of Electronic Engineering and their abilities to handle fire-fighting and emergency circumstances can be further improved through fire-fighting knowledge training and drills.
