赋能无线未来:从模拟放大器到全数字射频

演讲内容简介

As wireless networks evolve toward 6G and beyond, the demand for higher data rates, wider bandwidths, and massive connectivity is driving a rapid increase in energy consumption. A significant portion of this energy is concentrated in RF transmitters, where the fundamental trade-off between efficiency and linearity has long constrained system performance. While advanced power amplifier architectures and digital linearization techniques have delivered substantial progress, emerging system requirements are pushing these approaches toward their practical limits.

This talk examines the challenges of energy-efficient and highly linear RF power generation in next-generation wireless systems and explores emerging solutions beyond the classical analog paradigm. In particular, it introduces the concept of fully digital RF power generation, where power is synthesized through high-speed switching and digitally controlled architectures. Enabled by advances in wide-bandgap semiconductor technologies and signal processing, this approach offers a promising path toward more efficient, scalable, and sustainable wireless transmitters.

演讲嘉宾介绍

Anding Zhu (祝安定) received the Ph.D. degree in electronic engineering from University College Dublin (UCD), Ireland, in 2004, where he is currently a Full Professor in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. His research interests include high-frequency nonlinear system modelling, device characterization, high-efficiency RF power amplifier design, and nonlinear system identification algorithms. He has published more than 200 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers.

Prof. Zhu is an IEEE Fellow and currently serves as the President of the IEEE Microwave Theory and Technology Society (MTT-S).
