- Remain true to the original aspiration of joining the Party and keep the mission of the times in heart

On the afternoon of December 12, the Party Organization Life Meeting of the Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University themed by "remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind" was held in Rohm Building of the Department. The members of the Party Branch of Wireless Graduate 191, Wireless Graduate 181, Wireless Graduate171 and Wireless first-year graduates of the Department of Electronic Engineering participated in the organization life meeting. The event was chaired by Wang Xuanhao, Secretary of Wireless Graduate 171 Party Branch, and Huang Yidong, Member of the Party Committee and Chair of the Department, was present at the meeting and delivered an important speech. The organization life meeting focused on the theme of "remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind". Participating party members had a deep communication on the original aspiration of joining the Party, counted gains and inspected problems against the original aspiration. In the meantime, some party members shared their experience of participating in the "Great Renaissance" phalanx of the National Day and volunteer work in celebration activities, and described the party spirit and vanguard and exemplary role embodied in significant historical moments as the member of the Communist Party.

Wu Jinhua shared his original aspiration of joining the Party

The meeting started with sharing the original aspiration of joining the Party. From his childhood family-country emotion and admiration for heroes in the revolutionary war, to gloriously joining the party organization on June 18, 2017, Wu Jinhua continuously deepened his understanding of the purpose and nature of the Communist Party of China in his learning or life. He said: "time is quiet, but there is still a group of people struggling onwards with great burden and serving the people wholeheartedly. I want to join the Communist Party of China, aiming at fighting side by side with them and making an effort." After joining the party organization, he has adhered to the original aspiration of joining the Party, deeply understood General Secretary Xi's expectations for young people, and challenged a new height bravely and conscientiously in scientific research.

Zou Jiajun made a speech

As a coach, Zou Jiajun shared her experience of participating in the "Great Renaissance" phalanx training, and told the unknown details during the phalanx training. In the phalanx training, we should not only pursue the training effect, rigorously organize training programs, but also attach importance to the sense of gain of phalanx members during the training, and develop a series of cultural activities such as poetry creation. At the end of sharing, Zou Jiajun imagined the scene when the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation is realized in the next 30 years, and encouraged students to seize the precious 30 years in life and play the backbone role of the members of the Communist Party in the great cause.

Yu Wangyang made a speech

Yu Wangyang told the story behind the volunteer work. They played their own thinking strengths, conducted deduction and reasoning to every detail in the activity and arranged emergency response plans to make the thing certain. When being asked why he participated in the National Day volunteer work, Yu Wangyang answered "no reasons for participation" and was motivated solely by the sense of honor and mission brought by the important historical node, love for the motherland and historical consciousness and political responsibility of the communists.

Exchange the theme education feelings and experiences

The above students' sharing provoked deep thinking among the comrades present. Participating party members fully exchanged the theme education feelings and experiences, experience and inspiration for participating in the National Day celebrations, and the "December 9th" commemorative activity, and initiated a discussion on topics such as the exemplary and vanguard role of party members in important activities, how the freshman branch can better conduct the theme education and the requirements of the original aspiration and mission in the scientific research work of graduate students.

The sparks of collided after full discussion pushed the meeting to a new high. Huang Yidong, Member of the Party Committee and Chair of the Department of Electronic Engineering, led more than 70 participating party members to face the party flag, raise their right fist, and review the party membership oath.

Finally, Huang Yidong issued an important summary. She fully affirmed the students' gains and insights in the education themed by "remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind". In addition, combined with her studies abroad and more than 30 years of scientific research work experience, she told the earth-shaking changes that our party as the backbone of our country has led the people to make since the reform and opening-up. After the prosperity of the country, a sense of national pride has been greatly improved. Ms. Huang pointed out that we, as the backbone of the future society, must be aware of the shortcomings of the country while enhancing our sense of pride. She encouraged us to cherish in-school time, and devote ourselves to solve the "bottleneck" problems for the country in combination with our majors, combine the original aspiration and mission with our own work and put them into practice.

The meeting always focused on theme education and considered the exchange of original aspiration of joining the Party and sharing of the experience of National Day celebrations as the starting point. Participating party members had full communication, examined their own ideas and problems in branch construction in contrast with the original aspiration and mission, and deepened the effect of theme education.
