On the afternoon of August 15, the "Meeting of Relatives and Friends of New Students" of Electronic Information was held on the third floor of the Rohm Building. The leader in charge of teaching and student work and head teachers of the Department of Electronic Engineering and Department of Biomedical Engineering as well as over 200 relatives and friends of new students participated in the forum.

The meeting was chaired by Ms. Li Dongmei, Director of the Teaching Office of the Department of Electronic Engineering. She first expressed her congratulations and welcome to the new students, and introduced head teachers, counselors and teachers in charge of the work of new students of each class to the parents.

Wu Ji, Deputy Chair of the Department of Electronic Engineering, and Du Ya'nan, Deputy Dean of the Department of Biomedical Engineering, introduced the basic situation of "electronic information". Wu Ji introduced the characteristics of each stage during the cultivation of students, and analyzed the students' common problems in the university life through some typical cases, made some recommendations to parents and hoped that parents can help students grow with teachers and counselors. Finally, Li Dongmei introduced the rules and regulations related to learning, training plan, curriculum structure, etc. and emphatically introduced the courses that the students would learn in the freshman year.

After the meeting, many parents of the new students exchanged with teachers on issues that they concerned and the scene was very enthusiastic.
