The China Institute of Communications (CIC) recently announced the recipients of its Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award for 2022. Yuxuan Sun, a Tsinghua PhD graduate from the Department of Electronic Engineering, won the award for her dissertation titled Latency-Optimized Task Offloading Strategy for Vehicular Networks. The dissertation was completed under the supervision of Associate Professor Sheng Zhou.

The CIC Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award aims to boost the cultivation of scientific spirit and research ability among high-level information and communications technology (ICT) professionals, thereby promoting independent technology innovation in China. The 2022 award went to ten winners this year.

Yuxuan Sun pursued her PhD degree at the Tsinghua Network Integration Lab for Ubiquitous Linkage and Broadband (NiuLab). Under the supervision of Professor Zhisheng Niu and Associate Professor Sheng Zhou, the Lab has achieved remarkable outcomes in a broad field of wireless communications and networks, including network traffic control and performance analysis, resource allocation and cross-layer optimization, green communications and networks, vehicular networks, and edge computing.
