    VinRobotics Delegation Visits Tsinghua University to Explore AI and Robotics Collaboration


    On March 14, 2025, a delegation from VinRobotics visited Tsinghua University’s Department of Electronic Engineering to discuss potential collaborations in robotics and artificial intelligence (AI). The visit not only fosters technological exchange but also opens up collaboration opportunities to strengthen partnerships in fields such as in computing architecture, data platforms, and industrial innovation, fostering advancements in technology and its practical applications.

    VinRobotics is a subsidiary of Vingroup, Vietnam’s leading multi-industry private conglomerate. The company specializes in researching and developing intelligent robotics technologies applied in industries such as electric car manufacturing, electric motorcycle production, smart manufacturing, and many other sectors. The delegation included Mr. Ngô Quc Hưng, VinRobotics CEO, Dr. Pei-Yuan Peng, Advisor, and Ms. Phm Qunh Dao, Supply Chain Manager.

    From Tsinghua University, Professor Yuan Shen, Secretary of the Party Committee at Tsinghua University’s Department of Electronic Engineering, highlighted the department’s achievements in innovation and international collaboration.

    During the meeting, representatives from VinRobotics presented an overview of Vingroup’s diverse business sectors, including Automotive Industry Manufacturing, Commercial Services – Real Estate, Retail, Philanthropy - Education, Healthcare, and more. At the same time, VinRobotics introduced smart robotic solutions with reasonable costs, offering practical benefits for everyday life.

    During the meeting, Professor Jincheng Yu from Tsinghua University presented cutting-edge research on hardware-software co-design for moving robots. Dr. Chiyu Dong, CTO of Xinhua Innovation Center, introduced the delegation to Tsinghua’s technology commercialization strategies. Additionally, representatives from Infinigence AI and Lightwheel shared insights into AI-powered robotics, autonomous learning, synthetic data, and simulation technologies.

    The open discussion session, Tsinghua EE Department and VinRobotics focused on joint innovation and commercialization strategies. Participants explored robotics applications in manufacturing, security, and patrol scenarios, as well as strategies for optimizing computing architectures to enhance data processing and perception capabilities.The visit laid the groundwork for future collaborations on academic and industrial research.
