清华东南亚中心可持续创新论坛
2024年6月28到29日，由清华大学电子工程系主办的“2024清华东南亚中心可持续创新论坛”在位于印度尼西亚的清华大学东南亚中心开幕。来自清华大学、澳门大学、香港科技大学、新南威尔士大学的100余名师生参加了本次论坛。作为电子系“可持续创新发展计划”的重要组成部分，论坛旨在促进跨领域交流和可持续发展的深入探讨，通过主题演讲、圆桌论坛等形式，共同探讨未来电子信息在人类可持续发展与社会进步中所扮演的角色等前沿话题。
清华大学电子工程系党委书记沈渊在开幕式上致辞。他回顾了电子系“可持续创新计划”国际战略的初心和举措，将以电子信息领域不同学科视角下的可持续创新发展为主题，为探讨应对人类共同挑战、拓展高水平科研合作，促进跨文化交流，以及培养当前国际形势下的人才培养等议题提供了有效平台，并以此为契机加强与海外高校的交流合作，构建全球产学研合作网络。
开幕式后，来自清华大学、澳门大学、香港科技大学的三十余名研究生们依次分享了自己的在前沿创新领域的思考。在主题为“人工智能时代下的电子信息与可持续发展”的圆桌论坛上，师生们踊跃交流，讨论以人工智能为代表的新一代信息技术如何推动世界变革，以及电子信息技术在实现联合国可持续发展目标中的作用。在主题为“本科生如何做科研”的圆桌论坛上，来自电子系的本科生们积极提问，研究生们分享了自己的经验，老师们针对本科生们的问题答疑解惑并提出期望，同时鼓励本科生们寻找科研的兴趣并勇敢探索。海报环节中，50余名本科生进行了海报展示，并与与会师生进行了热烈的讨论。
特邀报告环节，澳门大学黄沫教授、诸嫣教授，香港科技大学Patrick Yue教授、James Kwok教授，新南威尔士大学Flora Salim教授分别就领域内的前沿学术方向进行了综述与前瞻，带领与会同学共同感受了创新技术为人类社会进步带来的巨大变革。
闭幕式上与会嘉宾们纷纷分享了本次论坛的感受，一致对论坛的成功举办表示认可，并对未来的合作充满期待。在热烈的氛围中，论坛嘉宾为表现出色的学生颁发了“最佳展示奖”和“最佳海报奖”。本次论坛以“可持续创新”为主题，共同探索电子信息领域可持续发展的解决方案，推动全球产学研合作，培养具备全球胜任力的拔尖创新人才。
From June 28th to 30th, 2024, the 3rd sustainable innovation workshop was organized at the Tsinghua University Southeast Asia Center in Bali, Indonesia. The primary objective of the workshop was to provide a platform for young students to establish meaningful connections with their peers and foster friendships.
The workshop witnessed a participation of 29 graduate students and over 60 undergraduate students from various universities in far east. Through oral presentations, the graduate students engaged in fruitful discussions on sustainable innovation and the future development of technologies. Undergraduate students shown their crazy ideas and demonstrations in the poster session. The workshop invited 15 distinguished professors from five universities to serve as mentors. During the panel discussion session, these mentors shared their experiences and insights on choosing an academic career.
In addition to the indoor activities, the students also organized an outdoor society event and cultural experience. They embarked on a hike up Mount Batur, explored the picturesque Tegallalang Rice Terraces, and immersed themselves in the vibrant atmosphere of the Ubud Market. The participants had the opportunity to savor a delectable local lunch featuring the renowned crispy duck, allowing them to experience the rich culinary culture of Bali.
