On the afternoon of October 21, 2018, the First Theme Sharing Meeting of the Yangtze River Delta Liaison Office of Tsinghua Alumni Association of Department of Electronic Engineering was held at Galaxy Finance Shanghai Branch. This activity was sponsored by Tsinghua Alumni Association of Department of Electronic Engineering and strongly supported by Galaxy Finance Shanghai Industry Fund.
As a world-class information discipline education base, the Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University has two national key first-level disciplines and achieved a group of national scientific research results. Over the past 60 years since its establishment, the Department of Electronic Engineering has successively trained tens of thousands of undergraduates and postgraduates, and many graduates have grown into backbone forces in all walks of life across the country. Especially in recent years, in the entrepreneurship wave in the AI filed in China, alumni of the Department of Electronic Engineering have long become an important force that cannot be ignored.
The guests of this sharing meeting included both industrial technical experts from companies and academic leaders and entrepreneurial stars. Everyone gathered together to discuss deeply on "things related to entrepreneurship".

At the beginning of the activity, Wang Ye (Grade 1998), Person in Charge of Galaxy Finance Shanghai Industry Fund and Deputy Secretary General of Tsinghua Alumni Association of Department of Electronic Engineering, delivered a speech. Wang Ye welcomed the participating guests and introduced the basic information of Galaxy Holdings and Galaxy Finance, especially the glorious investment performance in the past and future investment layout of Galaxy in the high-tech industry, and hoped that Galaxy can have the opportunity to go forward hand in hand with the alumni to jointly create cooperation and win-win opportunities.
The first guest to share was Li Jiutao (Ph.D. of Grade 1986) who served as senior management in several world-renowned high-tech companies. Entron Technology founded by him focuses on providing excellent image and video capture equipment, software and system enhancement services for the new generation of unmanned and intelligent vehicle systems, and has established good cooperation relationships with domestic and foreign famous companies presently. This time, the theme that he wanted to share was "things that should be done at the early stage of entrepreneurship", using his personal experience to talk about the ups and downs of entrepreneurship, arousing the resonance of the alumni on the spot.
Subsequently, Dong Mian (Grade 1999) from Mobi Sport shared with everyone, and the theme of his sharing was "Tsinghua sports and things related to entrepreneurship". The concept of Mobi Sport to use technology to awaken a new sports experience and bring users with a new healthy lifestyle won the recognition of everyone. And his vivid and interesting narration enabled the meeting room to be full of cheering and laughing.
Liu Jingxiu (Grade 1998) from DeePhi made the last share. DeePhi is a startup headquartered in Beijing. The core members of the team all come from the Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University. It has the industry-leading machine learning ability, focuses on neural network pruning, deep compression technology and system-level optimization, and is a star company that keeps pace with Cambricon and Horizon Robotics. In April 2016, DeePhi obtained angel round of financing from Gaorong Capital and GSR Ventures. In May 2017, it obtained the A round of financing of tens of millions of dollars led by Xilinx, MediaTek, Tsinghua Holdings, and Sigma Square Capital. In October 2017, it completed the A+ round of financing of about 40 million dollars led by Ant Financial and Samsung Venture Investment. In July 2018, it was acquired by Xilinx, an international leading company in adaptive and intelligent computing, making a great flutter. As a founding member of DeePhi, Liu Jingxiu told his alumni the rough road experienced by DeePhi when it grew into a star company in the past few years.

Finally, the participating guests took a group photo, and the first theme sharing activity of the Yangtze River Delta Liaison Office of Tsinghua Alumni Association of Department of Electronic Engineering ended successfully in applause.
