From April 10 to April 12, a three-day international review was conducted to the electronic information discipline. The review group is composed of 13 top experts in the electronic information discipline from world-class universities such as MIT, Stanford, Berkeley, and Johns Hopkins. Party Committee Secretary Chen Xu and Vice President Wang Xiqin of the university participated in the opening ceremony on the morning of the 10th and delivered speeches, and Vice President Yang Bin participated in the summary meeting on the afternoon of the 12th.

The review group firstly listened to the introduction of the overall situation and the teaching of the discipline made by Chair Huang Yidong and Deputy Chair Wu Ji of the Department of Electronic Engineering, then had a detailed understanding on all aspects of the discipline in the forms of symposium, individual talks and on-site inspections, and had a full discussion with teachers and students.

The review group affirmed the development and performance of the electronic information discipline of Tsinghua University since the last international review in 2010, and believed that the electronic information discipline of Tsinghua University has developed into an internationally leading discipline. The new curriculum system that has been built with ten years of efforts has reflected the knowledge structure of the electronic information field, the Experimental Teaching Center of the Department of Electronic Engineering has the world's top experimental facilities and teaching quality, and the Institute for Electronics and Information Technology in Tianjin, Tsinghua University has gathered advantageous resources and innovative development model. It is suggested that the electronic engineering discipline one the one hand should continue to work hard on the openness and internationalization in the future, on the other hand, it should continue to expand its influence, and positively promote its experience and development results to make greater contributions to the development of China, the global electronic information discipline and the higher education.
