In order to further promote the paired-up assistance, implement all goals and tasks in 2021 and achieve precise docking, on the morning of March 31, a symposium was held between the Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University and the College of Information Science and Engineering, Xinjiang University at the Rohm Electronic Engineering Hall (Rohm Building). Chair Wang Yu, Party Committee Secretary Jin Depeng, and Research Ma Hongbing from the Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University, and Party Committee Secretary and Dean Wang Liejun, and Deputy Deans Liu Shengquan and He Liang (paired-up assistance) from the College of Information Science and Engineering, Xinjiang University attended the symposium.

At the symposium, Wang Yu first introduced the current situation and the future development of the Department of Electronic Engineering to the delegation of the College of Information Science and Engineering, Xinjiang University in combination with historical development, faculty, scientific research, discipline construction, and foreign cooperation, and other aspects. Subsequently, the two sides conducted in-depth exchanges in terms of joint development of scientific research, joint application of projects, postgraduate training, talent introduction, and strengthening of discipline construction. According to the paired-up assistance agreement, members of the College of Information Science and Engineering, Xinjiang University proposed relevant demands regarding the relevant problems encountered in the current work, and Jin Depeng expressed that they will spare no efforts to support the development of the information discipline of Xinjiang University and achieve substantial results of the paired-up assistance work.

Finally, both sides agreed that they must strengthen exchanges and cooperation constantly, accurately grasp the positioning of the information discipline while aiming at the economic and social development needs of Xinjiang, jointly promote talents training and results transformation while serving the economic and social development process of Xinjiang, and practically assist in the development and construction of the information discipline of Xinjiang University to implement the paired-up assistance work in detail and contribute to the construction of the "Belt and Road" together.
